Local Information
Clints Quarry is near Whitehaven - Whitehaven – A popular town full of things to do for all the family. Whitehaven regularly promotes special town events and festivals throughout the year. Whitehaven used to be extremely productive for its coal, the old quarries where the cliffs still yield plant remains show old ruins from the quarry buildings. The railway originally build next to the cliffs to transport coal and one of the largest harbour piers in the UK for the once busy port of Whitehaven.
